About Us

Glenn Ware, AIA/LEED AP, and Paul Bonsall, AIA, formed Ware Bonsall Architects in 2002 in Charlotte, North Carolina, after many years of leading the Government Group at another Charlotte firm. They have combined their talents and knowledge in the complicated field of justice architecture to provide counties with high quality planning and design services in a timely and responsive manner. We assist our clients from the inception of the planning and development process through design, construction, and final occupancy.

We specialize in the design of:

  • Detention facilities
  • Law enforcement centers
  • Courthouses
  • Juvenile facilities
  • Emergency operations/911 centers
  • Government offices

Ware Bonsall Architects has chosen to remain a small firm - able to provide a level of service and attention to detail that is difficult to achieve in larger firms. Our size enables us to specialize in those projects which best suit the talents and capabilities of our professionals - justice facilities. Glenn Ware and Paul Bonsall will be committed to your project from beginning to end - they will be fully involved to answer questions, make decisions, and honor commitments on behalf of the firm.

Team Approach

Our belief and practice is that the client is an integral part of the project team. Working together, we first seek to understand all of the issues to be addressed with each project, then develop solutions that best respond to those issues. This will lead to a facility that appropriately responds to your functional, philosophical, schedule, and budget requirements.
