Located at Brunswick County's government center, the courthouse evokes an image reminiscent of a traditional southern courthouse, while providing for functional needs of a 21st century judicial center. Separate, distinct circulation paths exist for the public, court personnel, and prisoners.

Cabarrus County Jail Annex
Concord, North Carolina
Located in downtown Concord, the Jail Annex was designed to temporarily relieve crowding at the county's existing 142-bed jail while a larger housing unit is under construction. A tunnel connects the Annex to the existing courthouse.

Cabarrus County Sheriff's Office
Concord, North Carolina
This facility is located in downtown Concord and connects to the Cabarrus County Jail Annex, completed in 2007. It provides intake, magistrate, classification, public lobby, and public visitation areas for the jail and office space for Sheriff's Office employees. The third floor of the building houses the county's E911 Communications and Emergency Operations centers.

Completed in 2007, this 192-bed facility is an addition to the existing jail. To promote staff efficiency and safety, inmate movement is minimized.

This 568-bed direct supervision detention center is planned for the future, incorporating new technology and providing for expansion. Support areas are sized to serve 1,000. The facility is designed to minimize inmate movement.

Henderson County Detention Center
Hendersonville, North Carolina
During the planning for this project, the Sheriff set the goal to deliver a new 231-bed detention center which was able to operate with the same number of supervisory staff as the county's old 76-bed facility. To achieve that goal, the new detention center was designed to eliminate movement of visitors and inmates wherever possible.

Mecklenburg County Jail North Annex
Charlotte, North Carolina
Completed in 2008, this new housing unit is located at Mecklenburg County's Jail North campus on Spector Drive, Charlotte, North Carolina. It is intended to relieve crowding at the county's existing jail facilities and was designed and constructed on an accelerated schedule using three pre-engineered fabric buildings.

Oconee County Law Enforcement Center Addition

This addition to the existing Law Enforcement Center consolidates public access to the complex to a single point and provides space for law enforcement components. A key part of this project is a new communications center and emergency management facility.

Union County Judicial Center
Monroe, North Carolina
This Judicial Center is located in downtown Monroe, adjacent to the existing government center. It provides 100,000 square feet of space on five floors. Public and staff entry is limited to a single point on the first floor, with multiple security screening stations. Each floor is divided into zones for public movement, service functions, and secure staff circulation and support space.
