Retrospective of Courthouse Design

Ware Bonsall Architects is honored that Richmond County Judicial Center, completed in 2010, is one of four North Carolina projects appearing in the Retrospective of Courthouse Design 2001-2010. Published by the National Center for State Courts, the Retrospective of Courthouse Design is the only publication of its kind dedicated exclusively to courthouse architecture. Its collection of 96 example projects chronicles major courthouse design trends of the decade and illustrates architectural innovations and solutions sought in addressing evolving judicial needs.

The professionals at Ware Bonsall Architects (while employed at another firm) designed the only North Carolina project listed in the 1991-2000 Retrospective, Brunswick County Courthouse. The staff at Ware Bonsall Architects is the only North Carolina design team with projects recognized in both 1991-2000 and 2001-2010 editions of the Retrospective.
